Double dating is a fun way to go out and have a good time with your significant other. It gives your date the opportunity to meet your friends and it also can provide a comfortable experience for someone who might be a little nervous going out on a one-on-one date quite yet. Double dating is also helpful if you want to meet someone new and you aren’’t quite comfortable being alone with them yet.

If you want to give double dating a try you can start by inviting a couple you know to come along with you on your date. If they say yes, then you can ask your date if they are ok with it too. If he or she is ok with it, then you can plan the date. It might be a good idea to invite a couple that will say good things about you if you really like your date and you want to see them again. Your date can get a good idea with the type of person you are by who you are hanging out with and the things they say about you.

Double dating is a really good way to get another perspective on the person you are going out with. You can follow up with your friends later and talk to them about whether your date was right for you or not. This is especially helpful if you’ve seen the person a few times and you’re thinking it could lead to something serious.

When I’m ready to let a girl into my life on a more permanent basis, I’ll run her through the “friends” test to see how she gets along with them. If she doesn’t get along with them or if they don’t like her, I will stop seeing her. I’ve learned the hard way that I should trust my friends when they don’t like who I’m seeing on more than one occasion. When she’s gotten along with them though, she’s typically in my life for a while, and I’ve had some great relationships because I trusted my friends.

A final point to double dating is that 2 couples who have been together for a while can go out on a double date as a way to break up the monotony in a boring relationship. Doing things like going to dinner or playing mini-golf girls vs. guys style can be loads of fun. The main factor in this though is chemistry. If everyone genuinely likes each other it’ll go fantastically, but if even one person doesn’t like the other, it can lead to them feeling awkward or like they don’t want to be there.
